Diffrently colored states???

Hello. May I ask what the blobs of differently colored states are? Sorry if Im being rude.

If you asking about the state selector (sub?)tool then that is the borders of the vanilla countries in your specified year and if I am not mistaken the default for any new time is the 1.1.1936 borders.
