The ideas tool is now available to be used, allowing you to add national spirits to your nations, or to add new adivsors/theorists/etc. to existing ones.
Ideas tool
The new ideas tool looks and works very similar to the old one, however it has two main differences:
Being able to import existing ideas in to your mod should allow you to easily edit those ideas you feel aren't good enough (looking at you Volunteer Only & Disarmed Nation giving no boosts construction/production output...)
The trait selector has been reworked to feel a bit more similar to how the focus selector works for prerequisites/mutually exclusive, with a search box, and an easy add/remove system.
Hovering over the options will give you the idea's ID, for those cases where there are multiple ideas with the same name (e.g. Old Guard).
The trait selector has also been added in to the country selector tool, being used on the leaders for each ideology, and on the unit leaders for your army/navy.
Clicking the + icon to the right of an idea you have search for will add it to your traits list, and pressing the x button next to the traits at the top will remove them from the list.
Other site updates
A few other small updates have been made across the site over the past month.
Clicking on a notification for the forum should now mark it as read after you have read the notification (i.e. once you navigate away from the post, the notification will disappear)
Localisation work for the country and idea tool has started. Hopefully the German translations will be available soon. Once the events and decision tools have been updated, I will be looking to get translations for other languages too; more information on this will be available closer to the time.
A few changes to flag upload/export, to ensure that when uploaded they are cropped to the correct sizes. And when exported, they come in the correct format.
Some small typo fixes.
Groundwork laid for the events tool to be updated over the coming weeks.
Hopefully the events tool will be ready soon but, as with all major tool updates, there is no ETA.
