First, go to your mod list in the HOI4 launcher.

And press the "Upload mod" button.

Then select your mod in the dropdown:

Select the "Steam Workshop" option, and fill in a description for your mod. Then press the "Upload mod" button.

 like how to put mod from this website into that folder

ive got to this and my question is what to do I do with the 202 etc from the .zip from the website and how does one get thumbnail

Go to launcher > All installed mods > Upload mod (top right corner) > create mod > put in name of mod (whatever you want it to appear as in workshop), then put in game version > for directory put in any name (this will create the mod folder, so make it different from the name of mod) > once you're done click the green create mod button it will create a mod folder in this directory "Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\mod" >  open the zip file you downloaded from this site and drag all the files inside of "(bunch of numbers beginning with 2)" into the mod folder you created in "Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\mod" > once thats done close and reopen launcher and add the mod to playset and launch > enjoy

I know this is long but I don't think theres a quicker explanation on this site lol. Hope this helped
